Why “New Employee Safety Orientation” Matters:
New employees are significantly more likely to be injured and killed on the job than their more experienced counterparts. Often, new workers are injured or killed because of a lack of training. Safety orientation for new employees can help to prevent these tragic incidents. In addition, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to train employees on the hazards they are exposed to on the job.
